Design and planning
We start with a site visit: how the sun tracks across the garden, where the ground falls, what the soil is like and how you actually want to use the space. From that we produce a simple layout and a costed spec — zones for dining and seating, circulation between them, planting beds and screening. You get to see how the whole garden fits together before a single sod is lifted, and we phase the work if you'd rather spread the cost.
Hard landscaping
The bones of the garden are patios, paths, steps, retaining walls and boundaries — and we build all of it ourselves. Sleeper and block retaining walls for terracing a slope, raised beds, brick or block edging, natural stone steps with correctly proportioned risers and goings, and drainage designed in from the start. Because the same team also does your fencing and paving, the details line up instead of being three contractors' compromises.
Soft landscaping and planting
Once the hard work is in, we cultivate and improve the soil, install borders with weed membrane and mulch where appropriate, plant to a scheme that gives structure in winter and colour through the season, and lay fresh cultivated turf or install artificial grass. We choose plants suited to your soil, aspect and how much time you realistically want to spend gardening — a low-maintenance garden is a design decision, not an afterthought.
Lighting, water and finishing touches
While trenches are open we run ducting for garden lighting, outside power, irrigation and water features — retro-fitting any of it later means lifting finished surfaces. Low-voltage spike and recessed lighting along paths and up key planting transforms how much of the year you actually use the garden. We finish with a full clean-down, remove all waste, and hand over simple care notes for the planting and lawn.
